Virgental valley

The beautiful, untouched Virgental Valley with the two villages of Virgen at 1,200 m above sea level and Prägraten am Großvenediger at 1,300 m above sea level, nestled between the Großglockner and the Großvenediger on the south side of the main Alpine ridge and located in the middle of the Hohe Tauern National Park, is 25 km long and runs from east to west.

It starts at the Umbalkees and enters the Isle Valley in the basin of Matrei. The valley is particularly popular with guests who are looking for relaxation away from the hustle and bustle.
