Description

A more difficult via ferrata route at the entrance to Galitzenklamm gorge which has an extreme variant -

'The masochist' – level E. The 250m climb is a steep cliff face and slab climbing area, with two rope bridges providing a bit of diversity. The highlight of this via ferrata route is the 'Götterquergang' which provides views to all three waterfalls in the Galitzenklamm gorge and views into the distance. The difficult variant 'The masochist' is a steep, partly overhanging cliff passage – difficult level E. The descent is classified as an A/B ferrata with a few C sections.

Difficult sections: many D and E sections, very difficult via ferrata route, only for experienced persons.

Equipment: Full via ferrata route equipment and helmet. A complete via ferrata set can be hired for a small fee at the cash desk.

The via ferrata route is reachable at the opening times from the water park Galitzenklamm.
